DTV Conversion: Go Digital Now

Posted:

Updated:

Flat screen TV's are the wave of the future. With the power of high definition viewers get a much crisper and clearer picture of all their favorite programs.

But not everyone is ready for the DTV revolution.

There are still some people glued to their old sets. Without the converter box or a new television, their pictures will become obsolete on June 12th.

RC Willey is warning people they should not wait much longer to hop aboard the digital bandwagon. The closer we get to the analog shut-off date, the more difficult it could become.

"There is a possibility, we've already had times where we have run completely out of all the boxes and we had to wait for the next shipment to come in", says sales associate, Travis Gerhard.

Electronics stores suggest that people who can afford a new set should get one for the picture quality - alone. Those who cannot or do not want to buy a new screen, will need a converter box.

Viewers who rely on antennas and are not hooked up to cable or satellite will lose their picture.
